MY STORY

I was born in the Appalachian Mountains of Southern West Virginia. As one of eight children, I grew up in a place called Zach’s Branch Hollow. My father was a coal miner and a pastor. My mother was a full-time homemaker.

I am a graduate of Lee University with a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Ministerial Studies with a concentration in Christian Leadership. I am a candidate for Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University. I am an Ordained Minister with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee.

I am an Educator, Author, Publisher, and Church Leader.

In November 2017, I authored and published my first book, “The Goslin’ Drowner.” It is the first book of Hannah’s Appalachia Mountain Adventures Series. In August 2020, I authored and published the second book of this series, “High Heels & Hidden Treasure.”

This Historical Christian Fiction Series encourages Personal and Spiritual Growth for young readers ages 8 -14. The Hannah Appalachia Mountain Adventures Books are about Building Strong Girls To Become Strong Women.

I have been married to Dr. Steven Kuhlke for forty years. We have two sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.

I love reading biographies, experimental gardening, catching up with old friends, and making new ones.
